Your partner has encouraged you to get out of the house.
Your doctor has recommended counseling.
The 4th trimester can be super isolating, so sometimes scheduling a telehealth session isn’t very appealing.
Walk + Talk Therapy is an ideal way to fit physical activity, getting outdoors, and professional support into your busy reality.
How It Works
You grab your sneakers or other good walking shoes.
No childcare? No problem! Pack up the diaper bag and stroller.
We’ll meet up over at Joyner Park and take a 50-minute stroll and talk about whatever’s on your mind.
If baby gets cranky or needs to eat, there are plenty of private spots to stop for a break.
Of course, if you do have childcare, you can always come by yourself.
Either way, here are some important benefits to keep in mind:
Getting outside has been shown to improve mental health for new mothers (and, honestly, everyone), and it’s great for baby’s brain.
Because it can feel overwhelming to even leave the house with your infant, having an appointment scheduled is an excellent motivator.
Physical activity is one of the most effective ways to beat anxiety, including the postpartum kind.
You need support from someone who understands just how challenging and isolating the 4th trimester can be.
Ready to chat about it? The first step is to complete this form, and then schedule a consultation call.
We’ll discuss any details about what to do if it rains, pros and cons of being out in public with your therapist, and other concerns.
Obviously, this service is only available to local folks.
Investment
A 20-minute consultation call will be provided at no charge to you before we schedule an appointment.
First session (intake) will be conducted virtually: $250
45-50 minute walk + talk session: $250
Payment will be processed online at the time of service.
Out-Of-Network Reimbursement
I am not an ‘in-network’ provider for any health insurance carriers.
I do not make calls to insurance companies to justify medical necessity or negotiate reimbursement.
Please review the Good Faith Estimate document for important information regarding your rights as a self-pay patient.
You must be diagnosed with a mental health disorder to file an insurance claim for out-of-network reimbursement.
